Job summary

Floyd County Schools Prestonsburg Elementary School in Prestonsburg, Kentucky seeks a part‑time Academic Interventionist/Coach to provide targeted academic support and tutoring in math or English/Language Arts.

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of Rank II with three (3) years’ experience

working in Kentucky schools, experience working with low-income youth, and must be certified with middle school or

high school math or English/Language Arts experience.

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL:To create a class environment favorable to learning and

personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to

lead students toward fulfillment of their potential for

intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and

maturation; to establish good relationships with parents and

other staff.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and terms of employment according to approved

salary schedules.

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with

provisions of the district evaluation plan.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide academic interventions to all students both individually and collectively.
