Job summary

Floyd County Schools Prestonsburg Elementary School in Prestonsburg, Kentucky seeks a part‑time Academic Interventionist/Coach to provide targeted academic support and tutoring in math or English/Language Arts.

The role reports to the Principal and involves data-driven interventions to help students reach CCR targets, liaising with families, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Rank II with three years’ experience working in Kentucky schools.
• Experience working with low-income youth.
• Certified in middle school or high school math or English/Language Arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic interventions to all students both individually and collectively.
• Use early warning system to determine individual student needs.
• Assist all students in meeting CCR targets and benchmarks.
• Tutor students in math and/or English.
• Review student data to determine impact of interventions and next steps.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to support student growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
