Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner to join a high-volume neurosurgery team. The incumbent will perform inpatient rounding with call responsibilities and must hold an active Florida NP license and board certification.

The role requires OR experience and is a full-time, 40-hour/week position with weekend or 7-on/7-off call rotations. Candidate must be able to cover at least two weeks per month and participate in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical

The facility is home to a well‑established, high‑volume neurosurgery practice supported by a team of 5 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers, offering a dynamic and collaborative clinical environment.

Job Details

• Immediate need for an experienced Neurosurgery NP (First Assist) for a high‑volume neurosurgery practice serving adult and pediatric patients
• Position is inpatient rounding with call responsibilities
• Call is rotated among PAs with 1:4/5 weekend call responsibility and 1:4/5 night call responsibility
• Full‑time position working 40 hours per week; schedule is M‑F with weekend call or 7 on/7 off
• Providers must be able to work a minimum of two weeks per month
• Active Florida license required; licensed in FL only
• Current board certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an advanced practice provider in Neurosurgery with OR experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Local candidates preferred
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30–60 days
• Nearest airports: Tampa International and Clearwater/St. Pete
