Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Tampa, FL is seeking two board-certified APRN-C Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery APPs to join our pediatric cardiac program. The role involves working with a team of pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgeons in and out of the operating room, with ICU care and patient advocacy.

The successful candidates will have at least three years of post-training experience in pediatric cardiac surgery, RNFA certification, ACLS/PALS, and an active Florida license or IMLC,

Qualifications

• APRN-C with pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery experience.
• Minimum three years post-training in pediatric cardiac surgery care.
• RNFA certification required for APRN candidates.
• Active Florida license or IMLC to be considered.
• Ability to work with surgeons in OR and ICU.
• Strong advocacy for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons in and out of the OR.
• Care for pediatric cardiac patients in ICU and other settings.
• Act as patient advocate and liaison between patients and physicians.
• Schedule eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday.
• Handle ~15 on-call days per month including weekends.

• Immediate need for 2 board-certified APRN-C Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery APPs
• At least three years of post-training work experience with pediatric cardiac surgery patient care is required
• RNFA certification is required for APRN candidates
• Work alongside Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeons both in and out of the operating room
• Experience in caring for pediatric cardiac patients in a variety of settings, including ICU, is required
• Serve as a patient advocate, acting as liaison between patients and physicians
• Schedule includes eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday
• Call responsibilities include approximately 15 days per month including weekends
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Board certification required with a minimum credentialing timeframe of 90 days
• Must hold an active Florida license or IMLC to be considered
• Locum Tenens opportunity - ASAP start with an ongoing end date
