Job Title: 1st Special Forces Command Lessons Learned Analyst

Job Category: Intelligence

Time Type: Full time

Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI

Employee Type: Regular

Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%

Type of Travel: Local

The Opportunity

As a CACI Lessons Learned Analyst, you will be a key component of the USASOC Lessons Learned Program, a structured ecosystem designed to create connective tissue between our operational forces and the generating force. You will play a vital role in transforming raw operational data into validated lessons that directly, rapidly, and systematically shape future doctrine, training, and leader development.

Responsibilities
  • This position is at the 1st Special Forces Command Headquarters, serving as the central node for the operating force. You will support the following tasks:
    • Operational Aggregation & Trend Analysis: Act as the central point for the operating force by receiving and synthesizing refined lessons learned products from all subordinate units. You will identify macro-level trends, recurring friction points, and universally applicable best practices that may not be visible from a single unit's perspective.
    • Internal Remediation & Cross-Pollination: Facilitate solutions for issues that can be resolved within the command's authorities, such as standardizing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across subordinate groups.
    • Strategic Reporting & Integration: Draft comprehensive operational trend assessments and capability gap reports. You will forward these synthesized products to USASOC-level analysts, clearly delineating systemic issues that require intervention from higher headquarters for strategic remediation and validation.
    • Collaborative Knowledge Sharing: Utilize advanced communication systems and collaborative platforms to ensure proactive information sharing. You will serve as the critical link between the tactical data collectors at the CSU level and the strategic analysts at the USASOC level, ensuring a seamless flow of information.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Graduate of a service-component Special Operations qualification course (Army Special Forces/Ranger/Psychological Operations/Civil Affairs, Navy SEAL/SWCC, Marine CSO/MSOC, or Air Force Special Tactics).
  • Possess experience directly supporting or serving on the staff of a General Officer level command (such as United States Army Special Operations Command, 1st Special Forces Command, USAJFKSWCS, or a Theater Special Operations Command).
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.
  • Knowledge of Army SOF Command structure and doctrine to enable targeted dissemination of observations, insights, and lessons for all operations.
  • Ability to prepare collection plans and to collect data using direct methods of interviewing and observation.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and deliver briefings to leadership.
Desired
  • 10 or more years of cumulative Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience, with proven tenure serving as a Sergeant Major (SGM/CSM/E-9), Senior Chief Warrant Officer (CW3–CW5), or Field Grade Officer (O-4–O-6).
  • Graduate of track‑specific senior leadership PME, specifically: USASMA (or sister‑service Senior Enlisted Academy), WOAC/WOSC for Warrants, or ILE/CGSC for Commissioned Officers (Master's Degree may substitute).
