Job summary

Great Plains Mfg. is hiring a 1st shift Welder for the Tipton Facility in Tipton, KS. The role runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with duties including welding per blueprints, maintaining inventory accuracy, and following OSHA safety rules.

Responsibilities include reading prints, using tools, and delivering quality welds on schedule. Strong teamwork and lean process understanding are preferred as the plant emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Able to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and be results oriented.
• Understanding of lean concepts and willingness to implement change.

Responsibilities

• Load fixture and weld parts as required.
• Read blueprints and understand AWS weld symbols as required for the position.
• Achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule.
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times.
• Use all tools necessary for the position.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
