Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Welder for the Tipton facility on the 1st shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm). You will weld parts, read blueprints, and maintain production schedules while ensuring quality and safety.

The position requires MIG welding experience and the ability to pass weld tests, strong teamwork, and the willingness to adapt to lean manufacturing concepts in a fast-paced environment. Growth opportunities exist within a family-oriented manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test as required.
• Understand team concepts and be a strong team player.
• Able to excel in a fast paced, high pressure situations and be results oriented.
• Understanding of lean concepts and willing to accept/implement change.

Responsibilities

• Ability to load fixture and weld parts as required.
• Ability to read blue prints and understand AWS weld symbols as required for the position.
• Ability to achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule.
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times.
• Ability to use all tools necessary for the position.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
