Job summary

GSM Industrial Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to read blueprints, fit up parts, weld per AWS D1.1 and company standards, and perform basic QA in a shop environment in Lancaster County, PA. The role involves material handling with an overhead crane and utilizing rigging equipment and forklifts.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of industrial metal fabrication experience and be able to work in a safety-conscious, hands-on setting with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial metal fabrication including GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW.
• Minimum 1 year experience in blueprint reading and fit-up.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings
• Identifying parts using cut list and shop drawings
• Fit-up and assembly of parts
• Measuring, squaring, string lining and leveling work to assure accuracy
• Safely set-up and operation of welding machine and equipment
• Welding, grinding and cutting
• Verify quality assurance and perform basic inspection
• Material handling using overhead crane, rigging equipment and forklift
• General labor, assembly and basic quality assurance
