Job summary

GSM Industrial in Lancaster, PA seeks a skilled welder/fabricator with at least one year of industrial metal fabrication experience. You will read blueprints, perform fit-up, and weld to AWS D1.1 standards, operating welding equipment and handling grinding and cutting tasks.

Maintain quality and safety, with overhand crane and forklift duties as needed. This hands-on role requires proficiency in GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW and accurate interpretation of shop drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial metal fabrication including GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW.
• Minimum 1 year experience in blueprint reading and fit-up.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings
• Identifying parts using cut list and shop drawings
• Fit-up and assembly of parts
• Measuring, squaring, string lining and leveling work to assure accuracy
• Safely set-up and operation of welding machine and equipment
• Welding, grinding and cutting
• Verify quality assurance and perform basic inspection
• Material handling using overhead crane, rigging equipment and forklift
• General labor, assembly and basic quality assurance
