Job summary

GPAC is partnering with a premier Western Ohio meat processing organization to recruit a 1st Shift Wastewater Technician. The role focuses on operating and maintaining industrial wastewater systems in a modern facility with strong stability and growth potential.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of wastewater treatment experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably a Wastewater Certification. This onsite position offers competitive wages, benefits, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of industrial wastewater treatment experience preferred.
• Valid Wastewater Certification preferred.
• Experience with chemical dosing, pH monitoring, and pump troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.).
• Perform daily inspections of the wastewater system and record operational data.
• Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and adjust chemical treatment (pH levels, chemical dosing) as necessary.
• Perform probe calibrations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps and treatment systems.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs, operational records, and compliance reports.
• Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
