Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker’s Columbus, Ohio plant is hiring a Warehouse Associate I - Packer for 1st shift. You’ll verify orders, pack items securely, label shipments, manage overages/shortages, and move completed cartons to the conveyor. Cross-training across functions is encouraged to support operations.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to operate AS400 and Red Prairie WMS. The role requires physical agility and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand all shift.

Qualifications

• Close attention to detail to achieve accuracy in tasks.
• Ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour shift and lift/maneuver 50 lbs.
• Ability to work cohesively with a diverse range of people.
• Flexible attitude towards job duties and ability to perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Verify goods against order prior to packaging and clear discrepancies.
• Pack items carefully to prevent breakage using prescribed methods.
• Mark and label cartons, shipping documents and packing slips.
• Locate bin order overages and pull shortages to complete orders.
• Move packed cartons to conveyor belt.
• Cross-train in other functions as needed.
