Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate I - Packer for the 1st shift (7:30am–4:00pm) in Columbus, OH. You will verify orders, pack safely, label cartons, and move packed items to the conveyor. Role requires attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Cross-training in related functions is encouraged.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to use AS400 and Red Prairie WMS. Growth opportunities exist across our global brands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use AS400 and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
• Physically agile: stand/walk 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse coworkers.
• Preferred: experience in distribution or related field.
• Knowledge of packing procedures and warehouse SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Verify goods against orders prior to packaging.
• Pack items securely to prevent damage.
• Mark labels and packing slips on cartons.
• Locate bin order overages and shortages as needed.
• Move completed cartons to the conveyor belt.
• Willing to cross-train in other functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
