Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is hiring a Warehouse Associate I - Packer for 1st shift (7:30am–4:00pm). You will verify goods against orders, carefully pack items to prevent damage, and label cartons and documents for shipping.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate AS400 and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System, and cross-train in other functions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; benefits include medical, dental, life, vision, disability, 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to use AS400 and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System.
• Demonstrates close attention to detail to achieve accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
• Physically agile with the ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour shift and lift/maneuver 50 lbs.
• Ability to work cohesively with a diverse range of people.
• A flexible attitude towards job duties and ability to perform a variety of tasks upon request.

Responsibilities

• Verify goods against order prior to packaging and clear discrepancies.
• Carefully pack items to prevent breakage and damage, using prescribed methods.
• Mark and label packed cartons, shipping documents, and packing slips in the prescribed manner.
• Locate bin order overages and pull order shortages as necessary to complete order.
• Move completed packed cartons to the conveyor belt.
• Willingness to cross-train in other functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
