Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston, TX is hiring for a Warehouse Selector on 1st shift. Earn $18.00 per hour plus incentives, with a 4 days on / 3 days off schedule from 6:00 a.m. for this Dry Grocery facility at 15515 Woodham Drive, Houston, TX 77073.

Responsibilities include picking items, stacking on pallets, ensuring order accuracy, operating walkie-rider/pallet jack, and following safety procedures. Training provided; benefits from day 1, weekly pay, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GED/High School diploma in General Studies.

Responsibilities

• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors.
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to safety standards.
• Operating double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to move cases from storage to pallet and apply labels.
• Using proper wrapping techniques to protect products.
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description.
• Performing equipment inspections and completing the appropriate form.
• Frequent safe lifting of varying weights and heights.

Position Details & Location:
Please note that this is a 1st shift position located at our Dry Grocery facility off I-45 and Richey Road. This role is exclusive to this location and is not associated with our facility off Highway 288 and Holcombe Boulevard.

Job Description

• Earn $18.00 per hour+ Incentive and Attendance pay (once you qualify)

• FT, 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. until completion, 4 days on / 3 days off, Sunday-Friday

• 15515 Woodham Drive. Houston, Texas 77073

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset

• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors

• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards

• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)

• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages

• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description

• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form

• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
