Job summary

NSI Industries is seeking a 1st shift supervisor (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) to lead warehouse operations in Fort Worth, TX. You will direct daily activities, ensure safety and accuracy, and coordinate with other teams to meet demand.

The role requires 5+ years in a distribution environment with supervisory experience, strong WMS knowledge, and a proactive, fairness-driven leadership style.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• 5+ years of distribution center experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Experience supervising employees in a warehouse/operations setting.
• Strong working knowledge of WMS and related processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, math, reading, and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead with consistency, fairness, and accountability.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items; standing/walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse personnel across assigned departments.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence on the warehouse floor focusing on safety, productivity, accuracy, and conduct.
• Assign daily work, balance labor, and ensure coverage.
• Learn all functions to assist as needed (receiving, putaway, replenishment, cycle counting, picking, packing, QC, shipping).
• Audit and review timecards, attendance, overtime, and schedule adherence.
• Partner with management to manage staffing, coverage gaps, and labor efficiency.
• Enforce policies, safety standards, and workplace rules consistently.
• Ensure accurate execution of picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions via WMS.
• Investigate and address order accuracy issues and inventory discrepancies.
• Train and develop warehouse leads and associates; support onboarding and cross-training.
• Drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
