Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Whitestown, Indiana is hiring Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Material Handlers. The role offers weekly pay with an hourly wage of $20.50, overtime at $30.75, and a $1.50 shift premium for 2nd shift.

Schedule is 2nd Shift, 5:00pm–1:00am, Monday–Friday. Positions handle electronic repair parts using equipment like Stand Up Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, and RF Scanners. We provide paid training, safety gear, and a supportive leadership culture focused on safety and ongoing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• Punctuality and good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Follow performance guidelines of the contract and maintain accuracy in picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, and staging.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
