Job summary

Family Dollar in Front Royal, VA is hiring for a 1st Shift General Warehouse role. You will support Bulk operations with duties including processing damages, removing damaged merchandise, and preparing the area for the next shift.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, loading/unloading, ensuring safety, operating PIT equipment when required, and adhering to company policies. This is a full-time, on-site position with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: None
• Experience: None
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional up to 80 lbs
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment with basic PPE as required by DC policies
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Ensure work areas are stocked for the next shift to minimize downtime
• Perform housekeeping duties throughout the shift
• Remove and process damaged merchandise and return stray cases to correct pick slots
• Break down master cases in FDS pack and load cardboard within required timeframes
• Flip cases so barcodes face outward for accurate scanning
• Complete daily PIT checklist and report defects; operate PIT equipment safely
• Maintain an organized, safe working environment and follow all company policies
