Job summary

Vestahome is a luxury interior design and furnishings studio seeking a warehouse associate in Pico Rivera, CA. The role emphasizes safe handling of furniture, packing, inventory movement, and basic equipment use to maintain organized product storage.

The position requires an HS diploma or equivalent and at least one year of warehouse experience. Two shifts are available: 5am–1:30pm and 2pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday assistance.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic handling and protection of furniture.
• Follow SOPs for wrapping materials.
• Follow SOPs for lifting techniques.
• Follow SOPs for use of material handling equipment.
• Understand and use basic scanner functions for moving inventory.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks/containers of product and supplies.
• Use material handling equipment to load and unload items safely.
• Follow SOPs for packing and protection of items.
• Follow SOPs for scanning inventoried items for movement within the warehouse or to job sites.
• Assist in projects to keep products stored clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with quality control by visually inspecting items for damages/blemishes.
• Operate Order Picker forklift after training.
• Understand inventory SKU and S/N designations.
• Understand proper usage of material handling equipment.
• Properly use PPE as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning and minor refurbishing of products.
• Two shifts available: 1st shift 5am-1:30pm, Mon-Fri; 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri; occasional Saturday support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Understand basic handling and protection of furniture

  • Follow SOPs for proper lifting techniques
  
  
  • Follow SOPs for proper use of material handling equipment
  
  
  
  


• Understanding and use of basic scanner functions involved in moving inventory throughout the warehouse


• Assist with loading/unloading trucks/containers consisting of boxes/packages of product/supplies
  
  
  
  • Use material handling equipment to load and unload items safely
  
  
  • Follow SOPs for proper packing and protection of items
  
  
  • Follow SOPs for proper scanning of inventoried items to account for movement within the warehouse, or externally to job site location
  
  
  
  


• Assist in projects throughout the warehouse to keep products stored in a clean, organized, and safe manner


• Assist with quality control of products throughout the distribution process by visually inspecting items for damages and blemishes.


• Use of Order Picker forklift (after completion of provided training)


• Understand inventory SKU and S/N designations.


• Understand proper usage of material handling equipment.


• Properly uses PPE as needed


• Capable of performing basic cleaning and minor refurbishing of products

There are two schedules available for this position:

1st Shift: 5am-1:30pm, Mon-Fri

2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri

There is an occasional need for additional assistance on Saturday as dictated by business need.
