Job summary

Vesta, a leading home staging and design company, is seeking a warehouse associate in Hayward. You will handle product protection, assist with loading/unloading, and perform cycle counts while ensuring inventory accuracy in our WMS.

Responsibilities

• Understand handling and protection of products.
• Operate and use material handling equipment safely.
• Perform basic cleaning and refurbishing of products.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and containers.
• Support Quality Control across distribution stages.
• Maintain accurate inventory in WMS and perform cycle counts.
• Document data in WMS/CRM systems and track item status.
• Train new team members and follow SOPs.

GENERAL

• Arrive to work area by the scheduled start time

• Assist in the ongoing cleanliness/organization of the warehouse
• Maintains a safe work environment and keeps management informed of any safety hazards
• Understand proper usage of material handling equipment
• Other assignments and tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor
• Follow all SOPs governing the tasks involved with successfully completing the duties assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Understands the handling and protection of our products
• Understand proper usage of material handling equipment
• Capable of performing basic cleaning and refurbishing of products
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks/containers consisting of boxes/packages of product/supplies
• Assist with Quality Control on products throughout the distribution process
• Full recognition of inventory SKU and S/N designations and procedures
• Understanding of product specific parameters such as fabrics, materials, and finishes, etc
• Data Entry and System Updates on all WMS platforms (Eames/CRM/Asset Manager/Internal)
• Can perform all Scanning functions and understanding of process flow through the Management Application
• Execute daily warehouse Cycle Counts and assist in the management and reporting of Warehouse bin accuracy levels
• Processing Incoming PO’s (Barcoding new Products and assign items proper Project Reservations
• Operate and function in all web based WMS applications and web based data analysis tools in order to keep accurate records and review of all inventory movement

• Management in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory to ensure that the Virtual location and status of an item within the WMS matches the physical location and physical condition of the items.
• Troubleshooting barcodes for reconciling and retagging of product
• Perform any product movements in the warehouse both through scanning functions as well as systematically using our WMS systems
• Conduct in home Inventory audits for Furniture and data accuracy
• Data Analysis - Warehouse reporting for discrepancies
• Assist the Manager in new team member training

Required Education and Experience

• HS diploma or equivalent, minimum of 2 years of warehouse inventory management experience preferred
