Job summary

Aerotek in Brea, CA is seeking a 1st Shift Shipping Clerk for a contract-to-hire role in a fast-paced automotive parts distribution center. The position starts around 5:30–6:30 AM and runs until 2–3 PM, with overtime and occasional Saturdays.

You will receive, restock, and dispatch inventory, load and unload trucks, and prepare orders using RF scanners, stairs, and pallet jacks. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing.

1st Shift Shipping Clerk

Job Description

A distribution company specializing in automotive parts is seeking a dedicated and long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. The position requires flexibility with start times ranging from 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM until 2 PM or 3 PM.

Responsibilities

• Receive and restock inventory, manage dispatch, and handle Overstock.
• Load and unload materials from trucks.
• Break down boxes and package items for shipment.
• Utilize order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.
• Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed.
• Package items for shipment.
• Pick orders using stairs to reach material, with rolling stairs ranging from 7-15 steps.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
• Comfortable with rolling safety ladders and occasionally using a 15 ft stair ladder.
• Proficiency in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Capability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.

• Self-motivated and able to work individually.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
