Job summary

McCormick & Company is hiring a full-time Utility Mechanic for the 1st shift at the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD. You will support mechanical and electrical maintenance for production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and help reduce downtime.

The role reports to the Maintenance Team Manager and requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, safety compliance, and ability to work overtime. The company offers competitive benefits and total rewards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience in industrial maintenance or electrician role.
• Clear communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Handle breakdown analyses and major equipment rebuilds.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Coach and mentor Maintenance Technicians and Production Technicians.
• Read blueprints and manuals to determine maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety/GMP standards and report food safety issues.
