A.J. Rose Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our 1st shift. The role focuses on maintaining and improving progressive and transfer stamping dies used in high-volume metal stamping operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Tool & Die experience in metal stamping.
• Experience with progressive and transfer dies and precision tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T drawings with tight tolerances.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive and transfer stamping dies.
• Diagnose tooling issues and adjust for efficient production.
• Bench work, precision fitting, grinding, machining, and assembly of tooling components.
• Preventative maintenance on dies, fixtures, and tooling.
• Support production during downtime and address quality concerns.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings; collaborate on tooling improvements.
• Evaluate die performance and recommend modifications to improve life.
• Assist with start-ups and trials of new tooling; maintain records.

A.J. Rose Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our 1st shift team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and improving progressive and transfer stamping dies used in high-volume metal stamping operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver who takes pride in precision workmanship, supports production teams, and helps drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive and transfer stamping dies.
• Diagnose tooling issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient production.
• Perform bench work, precision fitting, grinding, machining, and assembly of tooling components.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on dies, fixtures, and related tooling.
• Support production by responding quickly to tooling-related downtime and quality concerns.
• Read and interpret blueprints, tool designs, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams on tooling improvements and new die launches.
• Evaluate die performance and recommend modifications to improve productivity, quality, and tool life.
• Assist with tryouts and startup of new or modified tooling.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Tool & Die experience in a metal stamping environment.
• Strong experience with progressive and transfer dies.
• Ability to operate manual toolroom equipment, including grinders, mills, lathes, and related machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with close tolerances and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
