Job summary

RTP Company is seeking a hardworking Extrusion Operator in Gahanna, OH. You will set up and operate thermoplastic extrusion equipment to blend, mix, package, and transport materials for customer products.

The role requires reading manuals, meeting quality specs, lifting up to 60 lbs, and maintaining safe, orderly work areas. Overtime and weekend work may be required to support production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Able to lift up to 60 lb regularly and stand for 8 hours.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends when needed.
• Must pass forklift and respirator tests.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and operate extrusion machinery to mix and extrude materials according to procedures.
• Weigh ingredients and deliver to machinery or ensure correct pre-blended materials are used.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Transfer material samples to the lab for evaluation and adjust batches as needed.
• Package finished products and maintain data integrity in logs and systems.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and participate in continuous improvement.
