Job summary

ASTEMO INDIANA, INC. seeks a Machine Technical Associate to support production by performing root cause analysis and implementing machine repair countermeasures to meet production goals and quality standards.

This role supports the new IPM Department on 1st Shift, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable machinery operation and continuous improvement across casting, machining, or assembly processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of CNC and PLC systems and programming preferred.
• Knowledge of robots and casting, machining or assembly processes preferred.
• Familiarity with machines, valves and vacuum systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure Development: 30% of time.
• Liaison between Production and Engineering: 10% of time.
• Countermeasure and Machine Repair Implementation: 35% of time.
• Mentoring Associates: 10% of time.
• Project Planning: 5% of time.
• Maintaining Organization and Cleanliness: 5% of time.

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to support production manufacturing through root cause analysis and implementation of machine repair countermeasures and recovery.

This role will be focused on the new IPM Department on 1st Shift. The Machine Technical Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery to meet production goals and quality standards. This role aims to improve manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure the efficient and reliable functioning of machinery, improving overall productivity and operational excellence.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities / % Time Spent Performing Duties

• Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure Development: 30%
• Liaison Between Production and Engineering: 10%
• Countermeasure and Machine Repair Implementation: 35%
• Mentoring Associates: 10%
• Project Planning :5%
• Maintaining Organization and Cleanliness: 5%

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of CNC and PLC systems and programming
• Knowledge of Robots
• Demonstrated Casting, Machining or Assembly knowledge
• Machines, valves, and vacuum systems knowledge
• Knowledge of processes in Casting, Machining or Assembly

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to promote and carry out the Astemo philosophy

Software:
