Job Family: Manufacturing & Operations Job Description: Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to support production manufacturing through root cause analysis and implementation of machine repair countermeasures and recovery. This role will be focused on the new IPM Department on 3rd Shift. The Machine Technical Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery to meet production goals and quality standards. This role aims to improve manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectives. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure the efficient and reliable functioning of machinery, improving overall productivity and operational excellence.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities / Time Spent Performing Duties
  • Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure Development: 30%
  • Liaison Between Production and Engineering: 10%
  • Countermeasure and Machine Repair Implementation: 35%
  • Mentoring Associates: 10%
  • Project Planning: 5%
  • Maintaining Organization and Cleanliness: 5%
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • Knowledge of CNC and PLC systems and programming
  • Knowledge of Robots
  • Demonstrated Casting, Machining or Assembly knowledge
  • Machines, valves, and vacuum systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of processes in Casting, Machining or Assembly
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to promote and carry out the Hitachi philosophy
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercises good judgement and be highly motivated
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Follow all company regulations related to manufacturing process and quality
