ASTEMO INDIANA, INC. is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician II to ensure the reliability and longevity of our manufacturing equipment in the IPM Department on 2nd Shift.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime and optimize production quality. Candidates should have at least 3 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of AC/DC voltages; PLC/robot programming experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years work-related maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of both high and low voltages AC & DC.
  • PLC troubleshooting and robot programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machines per guidelines.
  • Replace or repair defective parts such as belts, bearings, motors, or sensors.
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Calibrate and align machinery for optimal performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts.

Position Summary

As a Machine Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in our organization by ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and longevity of Astemo's machinery and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs in order to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency and quality. This role will be focused within the new IPM Department on 2nd Shift.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of machines and equipment, according to maintenance schedules and guidelines
  • Replace or repair defective parts such as belts, bearings, motors, or sensors
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical problems or abnormalities in the machines
  • Collaborate with team members and team leads to analyze and resolve complex technical problems
  • Calibrate and align machinery to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with the machinery, as well as comply with industry regulations and standards to ensure equipment is operating within legal and safety parameters
  • Provide technical support to production teams to minimize operational disruptions
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years work-related experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
  • Knowledge of both high and low voltages AC & DC
Preferred Qualifications
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Robot teaching and programming experience
