Job summary

NK Parts Industries, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor for 1st shift (6:30am–3:00pm) to oversee assembly operations in our Ohio plant.

The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating processes to optimize efficiency, with responsibilities including supervising staff, training, and enforcing safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent, experience with production planning, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Navision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-like academic background or equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn Microsoft Navision.
  • Strong reading, writing, and interpretation of business materials.

SUMMARY

Plans, directs, coordinates, and performs assembly processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves methods.
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Confers with management and other staff regarding assembly capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and use Microsoft Navision.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
