Job summary

TI Fluid Systems is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead production and shift management in our automotive components facility. You will oversee staff, coordinate daily operations, and ensure safety and efficiency on the floor.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask, and proven leadership. This on-site position offers opportunities to optimize processes and mentor a growing team.

Description

Responsible for every day production and shift management

Responsibilities of Position
  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of all assigned staff.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding methods and procedures in assigned area.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments.
  • Prepares written reports concerning assigned aspect of work.
  • Manages day-to-day departmental operation, assigns people to the appropriate jobs, authorizes overtime and controls cost.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments.
  • Performs any assignments given by Operations Manager.
  • Must be capable of making sound decisions and set job priorities.
  • Set machine and maintenance repair priorities.
  • Assure good safety and housekeeping practices are being followed.
  • Assure production requirements are met, including logging information as required.
  • Perform daily audits.
  • Responsible for employee training, developing, and evaluating performance.
  • Discipline employees as required based on established policies and procedures.
  • Hold regular shift meetings with employees

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, reaching and climbing stairs

Working Conditions

Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals. Noise: some above 85dcb with vibration. Frequently work alone and more than 40 hours

Protective Equipment Required
  • Eye and hearing protection a must
  • Steel toe shoes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with computerized office systems and PC software
