Base pay range

$19.60/hr - $20.95/hr

Position Details

• Position Title: Material Handler - Shipping
• Reporting Relationship: Materials/Shipping Supervisor
• Pay Structure: Hourly

Purpose of the Position

Responsible for the shipping and receiving of products.

Minimum Requirements

• Competent reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety.
• Effective communication skills.
• High School Diploma/GED; automotive experience preferred.

Special Skills

• Ability to follow written instructions and complete documentation.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift and twist for 8-10 hour shifts.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to obtain a HILO License.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Staging loads for shipment.
• Receiving raw materials and returnable containers.
• Organizing storage of finished goods.
• Entering count points and managing inventory paperwork.
• Learning basic computer tasks related to shipping and electronic communication.
• Loading trucks to meet customer requirements.
• Maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.
• Following processes and procedures as directed.
• Organizing storage areas and using scanners and copiers.
• Handling components and waste materials appropriately.
• Assisting with inventory counts.
• Hauling empty containers and cleaning areas.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5 am - 1 pm, 40 hours/week with occasional overtime.
