Description

The primary function of the Material Handler is to support the supply chain by collecting, loading, shipping, and/or receiving products. This role involves operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics, and supporting warehouse functions to ensure smooth operations. The position requires close collaboration with manufacturing to achieve goals related to productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery, 6S, and safety. Ambassadors in this role should develop skills, perform a variety of tasks, adapt to work needs, drive safely, maintain positive behaviors, and reliably work scheduled hours.

Position Details

• Shift Times: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, M-F.
• Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Comfort Research's Core Values in daily actions and interactions.
• Assist with loading and unloading products to meet production goals.
• Replenish materials to support production without impacting workflow.
• Operate forklifts or hand trucks.
• Use wireless RF scanners for inventory accuracy and maintain records.
• Perform cycle counts and stage orders for shipment.
• Inspect and maintain material handling equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and report issues.
• Consolidate pallets, locate and move stock, and identify damages or shortages.
• Handle products weighing up to 50 pounds, involving twisting, lifting, and bending.
• Communicate mechanical issues or shortages to supervisors.
• Cross-train and perform various tasks as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Develop problem-solving skills and assist with paperwork as needed.
• Support a positive and fun work culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
