Job summary

Anchor Fabrication Fort Worth is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to verify and record shipments, prepare items for shipment, assemble, address, and ship merchandise. This role supports a fast-paced, quality-centered environment and contributes to our national growth.

You will handle bills of lading, coordinate with drivers, and maintain shipping records while ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year relevant experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction.
• Ability to present information to management.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).

Responsibilities

• Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and records items loaded for shipment.
• Assist in oversight of the shipping department.
• Notifies manager of major discrepancies, over–shipments or substitutions.
• Maintains shipping records.
• Prepares shipments via FedEx, UPS or other third-party carriers.
• Coordinates shipment schedules with drivers to reach customer requirements.
• Drive Shipping department to consistently meet or exceed metrics.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Manage logistics and shipping requirements, coordinating with production facilities for timely delivery.
• Communicate with subcontractors to submit expedite requests and follow–up on open orders.
• Perform other related duties as instructed.

Position Summary

The Shipping Coordinator verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. They will use various tools and techniques to support their assigned department. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.
