Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift (3-11pm) in Fort Worth, TX to stock, count, and move products in a fast-paced distribution center.

The ideal candidate has a safety mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. A High School Diploma or GED and forklift experience are preferred; candidates must pass a background check and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• 3+ years forklift experience preferred.
• 3+ years warehouse experience in retail/large box distribution preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and walk/stand for long periods.
• Safety-minded and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading service by actively engaging in your area of operation.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Sort and move palletized and bulk materials in and out of trailers, docks, and storage areas.
• Pack and wrap boxed/palletized goods with accurate counting and auditing of material.
• Identify/label materials and track locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prepare finished products for shipment by locating, picking, packing, and loading items.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks including pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and stock chasers.
• Track and log checklists for PIT3s (Powered Industrial Trucks).
• Follow all safety guidelines and plant rules daily; maintain 5S housekeeping.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate with a safety mindset. You will be in a distribution center stocking, counting, and moving products.

What you27ll do:

• Deliver industry leading service to our customer by being actively engaged in your area of operation
• Load and/or unload incoming and/or outgoing materials and products
• Sort & move palletized and bulk materials in and out of trailers, flatbeds, containers, loading docks, and storage racks/areas
• Packing & wrapping of boxed/palletized goods with a quality focus on accurate counting and auditing of material
• Identify/label materials/pallets, and track their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory accuracy
• Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, picking, packing, and loading the items for delivery (both physically and systematically)
• Required to operate Powered Industrial Trucks including but not limited to: pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, and stock chasers to move material
• Track and log all checklists for PIT3s (Powered Industrial Trucks)
• Ensure all operating procedures, safety guidelines, and all plant rules are being followed daily
• Maintaining housekeeping and 5S standards as defined by site leadership
• Responsible to conduct themselves in line with company mission statement, core values, and standards of conduct
• Works with Supervisor/Manager to plan workload, priorities, supplies needed, and assess skills to complete tasks
• Printing and sorting order paperwork
• Performing cycle counts as needed
• All other duties as assigned

What you\'ll bring:

• Must be able to work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a drug screen and background.
• Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 30lbs or assist in a team lift of 31+ pounds
• Standing and walking up to 12 hours per day
• 3+ years of Forklift Certification/Previous Experience operating is preferred
• 3+ years of Warehouse experience in a retail/large box distribution center is preferred

Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
