Your Opportunity:
Taylor Communications, a Taylor Corporation company,is looking for aShipping and Receiving Clerkto join the team at our Jeffersonville, IN, facility!
Your Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday – Friday with overtime as required, including some weekends.
Your Responsibilities:
Inspect packaged items for conformance specifications and verifies paperwork for correct shipment quantity, location, and method.
Compare identifying information with bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
Verify that materials received are as ordered.
Unload, unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and ma correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Input receiving information into warehouse management system.
Will report directly to Receiving Supervisor.
You Must Have:
Documented work history of increasing responsibility
Strong math aptitude related to units of measure and order quantities.
Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down forklift, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers
Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and utilizing bar code scanners.
Ability to work independently, problem solving as needed.
Requirements within this position:
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
Frequently required to move inside the facility
Regularly move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
We Would Also Prefer:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of relevant experience within a Lean manufacturing environment
