Responsibilities:

• Train employees in required job tasks in Spanish or English in all Departments
• Train/ re-train employees in Spanish or English on all Forklifts (Sit down, Walk Behind, Bendi, etc.) and powered lift assist used in this facility
• Assist in presenting information in departmental and plant wide meetings in Spanish (TBT, Monthly Plant meetings, Forklift driver meetings, etc.)
• Create and Prepare training and safety documents in both English and Spanish
• Translate policies and procedures for Supervision and Management
• Assist the operations team with new hire orientations in English and Spanish as needed
• Track employees’ safety and job training progress and update training matrix in each department
• Role to actively participate in safety related programs including BBS, Hazard Elimination, Safety Walks, etc.
• Assist the Safety Specialist with environmental related tasks
• Assist in translation during incident investigations
• Other duties or special projects as assigned by the Safety Specialist or Management

Qualifications

1. Must be fluent in English and Spanish (Written and spoken)
2. 1-3 years’ experience in administration is preferred
3. Safety experience is preferred, but not necessary.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills including using proper grammar.
6. Ability to work independently; self-starter; strong attention to details.
7. Must be able to work either a 4AM to 12PM shift or a 10AM to 6PM shift
8. Ability to work flexible scheduled on an as needed basis.
9. Ability to teach and train effectively in a group setting.

Physical Demands

• The employee will be required to lift material weighing up to 30 lbs. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms and stand for extended periods of time.
