Job summary

Aapstaff is seeking a part-time Sewer to sew and assemble aprons for hospitality customers. The role starts at about 20+ hours per week with potential to increase to 35+ hours as the holidays approach. This temp-to-hire position pays $17.50 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, sewing experience, and the ability to read English. Safety and quality are essential in this production environment.

• Operate industrial sewing equipment
• Read and correctly interpret specifications based on customer orders
• Accurately read and use measuring devices with 1/16” accuracy
• Spot flaws, defects, and color shade differences
• Ensure quality by checking completed work
• Maintain consistent production and quality standards
• Identify process improvements and help develop new ideas
• Work on rush orders as needed
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

We have an opening for a part-time Sewer with flexible hours. This position will be responsible for sewing and assembling aprons and related components for the hospitality industry. The position will start at approximately 20+ hours per week, with hours expected to increase to 35+ hours per week as we get closer to the holidays. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a starting pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, pinch, stoop, reach overhead, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Able to reach at or below shoulder level over a cutting table up to 60 inches
• Able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements required for sewing
• Able to maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods
• Able to work in a production environment for extended periods

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Approximately 20+ hours per week to start
• Hours expected to increase to 35+ hours per week closer to the holidays
• Starting pay: $17.50 per hour
• Temp-to-hire opportunity
