Job summary

A leading food processing company in South Carolina is seeking a Facilities Assistant to maintain safe and efficient recycling operations. The successful candidate will operate a sit-down forklift and facilitate recycling tasks while fostering a safety culture. Responsibilities include sorting recyclables, training team members, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and knowledge of warehouse operations. This role may require working in cold and wet environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Willing to work any shift, weekends, and some holidays.
• Able to work in a very cold (36 °F) and wet environment.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt.
• Sort and segregate recyclable items from trash.
• Facilitate all recycling operations including loading/unloading trailers.
