Job summary

Lisi Medical Jedopa Inc is seeking a dedicated press operator in Illinois to operate power-driven presses for stamping and shaping parts, ensuring production accuracy and quality. You will load raw material, read blueprints, and document daily logs in the ERP system.

Candidates should be able to use calipers and micrometers, interpret work orders, and follow ISO/IATF and safety procedures. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metal stamping is a plus.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
• Computer literate and able to use ERP systems.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders and blueprints.
• English comprehension to follow instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle raw material loading/unloading and start new coils.

• Communicate with supervisor to aid production and quality.

Job Description Summary

Operates power-driven presses to stamp or perform other shaping operations. Operates machines until accurate production has been achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handling of raw material to load/unload, start new coils.
• Ensure quality conformance on all presses by filling out operator inspection sheets.
• Read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
• Needs to complete daily logs and report production in ERP system.
• Use of inspection tools in checking parts.
• Communicate with supervisor to aid in production and quality.
• Functionality of press (Jog, run, stop)
• Keeping presses running thru out day in a safe manner to both the die and operator
• Maintain the department/work area clean and organized.
• Follow ISO/IATF, safety, and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.

Authority

• Stop/report production if quality is not to standards and report to shift supervisor.

Job Knowledge; Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of metal stamping, a plus.
