Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a production operator for the Northlake plant. The role involves setting up and operating resistance spot welders and power presses to process metal, composite, or plastic stock. You will ensure quality per the Quality Policy and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The position runs on the 1st shift (5:00 AM–1:30 PM, M-F with some weekends). Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with weekend and extended hours as needed to meet customer deadlines.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and perform essential functions with or without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely perform duties and follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Explain and align with the company’s Quality Policy.
• Understand tasks and how this position impacts customer satisfaction.
• Understand the Quality Management System and related documentation.
• Identify, document, and log non-conformances.
• Participate in preventative and corrective actions; perform problem solving.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the work area and facilities.
• Operate and adjust resistance spot welders and presses as needed.
• Ensure materials are present and staged correctly for production.
• Inspect parts for conformance and discuss non-conformances with team leader or inspector.
• Complete necessary paperwork and tags to track product flow.
