Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift in Racine, WI. You will directly supervise hourly staff across multiple manufacturing departments, ensuring efficient, quality-driven operations in a fast-paced environment.

Emphasis on coaching, safety, and lean improvements to meet production schedules. Responsibilities include training, performance appraisals, and cross-functional communication with management to optimize processes and manpower utilization.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) is required.
• CPR and First Aid training or ability to obtain.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with deadlines.
• Proven conflict-resolution and people management abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise hourly employees across manufacturing departments.
• Manage workflow and productivity with coaching and guidance.
• Communicate with managers and peers about operating conditions and improvements.
• Provide goals and objectives to direct reports and drive performance.
• Audit labor and machine reporting for accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize MRP/scheduling software for materials and equipment planning.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing solutions in a team setting.
• Identify problems, initiate corrective actions, and ensure safety compliance.
• Conduct performance appraisals and support training for employees.
