Job summary

Creative Foam seeks a Production Supervisor to organize, direct and control the activities of production employees. You will own the shop schedule, ensure on-time completion and shipping with quality and cost controls, and maintain compliance with policies.

You will train wage staff, monitor materials and equipment, and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Shipping and Sales to support company objectives while ensuring a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising wage employees in a production setting.
• Ability to maintain production records and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Strong communication with Production, Quality, Engineering and Shipping.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages daily shop schedule to meet production and shipment commitments.
• Assigns, trains, coaches, and directs wage employees in production and quality procedures.
• Monitors material, tooling, equipment, staffing to prevent delays.
• Maintains documentation and ensures adherence to company policies.
• Approves wage time records and production logs.
• Oversees operations, implements process changes and prevents losses or hazards.
• Communicates status, changes, downtime and priorities to the Production Manager.
• Collaborates with Quality, Engineering, Shipping and Sales to support objectives.

MAJOR FUNCTION:

To organize, direct and control the activities of production employees while taking ownership of the shop schedule to ensure finished product is completed and shipped on time, with attention to quality, cost, material availability, and company policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Owns and manages the daily shop schedule to ensure production priorities are clear, product is completed on time, and customer shipment commitments are met.

2. Assigns, trains, coaches, and directs wage employees in proper production, quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.

3. Monitors material, tooling, equipment, staffing, and supply needs to identify and resolve issues before they impact production or shipments.

4. Promotes a fair, consistent, and supportive work environment by applying company policies appropriately and maintaining employee-related documentation in coordination with the Production Manager and Human Resources.

5. Approves wage time records and maintains accurate production records.

6. Oversees daily operations, reviews work progress, implements approved process or tooling changes, and takes prompt action to prevent production loss, waste, damage, or safety hazards.

7. Communicates production status, schedule changes, downtime, staffing concerns, quality issues, and priorities to the Production Manager and affected departments.

8. Works with Quality, Engineering, Shipping, Sales, and other departments to support company objectives and performs other tasks as required.

First shift hours are 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
