Job description

Job purpose: The Production Shift Manager is responsible for all production functions: Kitchen, Make-Up, and Packaging. This individual directs and monitors the daily activities of all Supervisors, Leads, and work area employees, ensuring the production of all scheduled orders per the production plan, GMP compliance, and adherence to Food Safety Policies.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Manage and direct all daily activities of Production Supervisors, Leads, and their employees.
2. Supervise the production of scheduled orders efficiently and GMP compliant.
3. Coordinate with QA, Warehouse, Logistics, and others to execute planned programs.
4. Train and supervise Production staff personnel.
5. Adhere to policies regarding FIFO, HOLDS, and Expiry of materials.
6. Maintain and improve production cost-controls, headcounts, and line efficiencies.
7. Model and support the company's safety culture, striving for 100% safety policy compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a supervisory/lead role in production.
• Trustworthy, honest, with high integrity.
• Excellent safety record and champion of safety culture.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and math skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, with good judgment and a positive demeanor.
• Experience with SAP, ROSS, PLEX, or other ERP systems is a plus.

Working conditions:

• Ability to work any/all shifts, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Standing/walking for long periods.
• Compliance with PPE requirements.

Physical requirements:

• Work on feet for 8+ hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and other physical activities as described.
