Job summary

Emerson is seeking a results-driven leader for first shift supervision at our Sherman, TX location. You will guide production teams, champion safety, quality and operational excellence, and drive customer commitments through effective execution and employee engagement.

You will coach and develop team members, build bench strength, and foster an environment where individuals and teams are empowered to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of functional and/or operational experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of employees and contingent workers through direction, feedback, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Establish and continuously improve standardized work procedures and operating instructions to drive consistency, efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
• Investigate service requests to identify root causes, implement sustainable corrective actions, and prevent future issues through continuous improvement.
• Own the execution of operational results by driving on-time delivery, maintaining inventory accuracy, and achieving plant goals related to safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and lead-time improvement.
• Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and open communication by serving as a trusted liaison, facilitating toolbox meetings, and aligning teams around priorities and targets.
• Build organizational capability by mentoring team members, recognizing and developing talent, and creating growth opportunities.
