Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for our Purina Animal Nutrition plant. You will coordinate production, promote safety, ensure quality, and engage employees across multiple departments in a fast-paced facility.

Leadersh ip in a manufacturing setting is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree with leadership experience or a strong equivalent background is expected. Occasional weekends may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years leadership OR high school with 3+ years leadership.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff.
• Work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals.
• Strong communication, decision making, and process improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety culture and adhere to plant safety policies and procedures.
• Direct tasks using SOPs/GMPs and safety procedures.
• Perform pre-operation inspections before shifts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records per SOP/NBi.
• Learn batching system (WEM) and related processes.
• Maintain records of daily receipts and inspections.
• Direct others to align with production schedules and goals.
• Monitor Workday timekeeping and approve time weekly.
• Lead, coach, train, and discipline staff.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to meet department orders and goals.
