Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Land Pride division, is seeking a 1st Shift Paint Line Person at our Abilene, KS facility. The role works Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

You will load paint lines, prep parts, inspect quality, and ensure correct part delivery and packing. The position emphasizes safety, Lean manufacturing, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Lift, carry, and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
• Read blueprints and tape measures when needed.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with AS400 systems.

Responsibilities

• Load paint lines safely to maximum capacity per daily production requirements.
• Prep unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts and ensure correct part identification and delivery to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Inspect painted parts at unload for quality defects.
• Pack painted parts to protect condition for transport to customers.
