Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Paint Line Person for our Abilene, KS facility. The role involves loading paint lines, prepping parts, unloading, inspection, and delivering painted components to correct locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.

You will work Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required; safety, lean manufacturing, and quality are emphasized in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Paint line experience is helpful but not required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience is helpful.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiar with AS400.
• Ability to follow inventory control procedures.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player.
• Ability to read blueprints and tape measures when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load paint lines safely to capacity per daily production requirements.
• Prep unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts and ensure correct part ID and placement.
• Inspect painted parts for quality defects at unload station.
• Pack painted parts securely for customer delivery.
• Perform duties across Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling, and Painting.
• Manage hazardous waste per regulations and area procedures.
• Follow safety regulations and wear required PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
