Job summary

PEAK Technical Staffing in Durham, NC is hiring 1st shift Packers to support daily operations. You will place goods into containers, prepare them for shipment, and monitor packing quality to meet standards.

Responsibilities include operating pack stations, verifying labels, and maintaining safety and productivity targets. Strong basic math, communication, and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop the pack station.
• Understand safety rules and quality requirements related to the operation of the pack station.
• Meet or exceed established productivity standards.
• Perform quality audits on finished goods and record line production efficiencies.
• Ensure packed products conform to the order screen.
• Isolate damaged items and report to supervisors.
• Ensure boxes are marked properly and labeled appropriately.
• Scan packed boxes and validate information on packing labels.
• Seal packed boxes.
• Report any errors in product selection and quantity to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
