Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator in Rochester, NY to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot filling equipment for various package sizes. The role involves ensuring accurate fill heights, maintaining records, and performing safety and quality checks on the line.

The position is a first shift, 6am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities including changeovers and proper PPE usage to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment desired.
• Strong ability to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to multitask and perform basic math calculations.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fills batches according to batch tickets and supervisor direction.
• Sets up filling equipment and checks packaging components.
• Programs instrument to fill to correct heights based on package size.
• Maintains production records and inventory transactions via handheld scanner.
• Cleans kettles and filling equipment after jobs.
• Ensures PPE and safety protocols are followed on the line.
• Maintains quality checks and a clean work area.
