LiDestri Foods in Rochester, NY is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to run and set up packaging machinery efficiently while upholding product quality and strict sanitation guidelines.

You will follow SOPs, perform changeovers, monitor for defects, and maintain accurate documentation. The role requires reliability, ability to wear PPE, and a mindset focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation preferred.
• Ability to wear PPE (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net, Kevlar gloves, safety glasses, and protective shoes).
• Ability to apply basic math, reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to use various hand tools as required for the position.
• Previous forklift experience is a plus and lock out/tag out knowledge is preferred.
• Continuous improvement mindset and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, including set-up, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting, to detect defects or malfunctions and adjust as necessary.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery and work areas.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in the assigned area.
• Cross-train or train on equipment as directed by manager.
• Maintain accurate documentation for processes and materials.
• Manage and issue raw materials into assigned work orders.
• Work safely per company rules and regulations.
• Maintain good attendance per policy.
• Report food safety and quality problems to the appropriate personnel.
