Qualifications

• Must pass an annual vision test (Jaeger #1 at 12 inches).
• Must pass annual written and practical exams with at least 80% score.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and suspend parts on hooks, racks, and baskets during processing and examination.
• Must be able to work around hazardous chemicals and loud noises.
• Must understand basic drawings and sketches.
• Must follow written instructions, specifications, and procedures.
• ITAR: position requires a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).

Responsibilities

• Rack and prepare parts for processing through the nital etch line.
• Interpret accurate results from the nital etch process.
• Recognize real and false indications and distinguish between.
• Report results of testing on the shop traveler.
• Package and prepare parts for embrittlement relief following nital etching.
• Perform other duties as assigned by foreman.
