Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Fabrication Operator for our Lucas, KS facility. You will set up and run machines such as laser, saws, punches, and brakes to form metal parts, ensuring accuracy and quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires reading specs, selecting materials, and maintaining equipment with safety at the forefront. Overtime Fridays may apply; join a team that values craftsmanship and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal fabrication machines and tooling.
• Ability to read specifications and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Maintain tolerances and inspect machined parts for defects.
• Understand safety rules and wear protective equipment.
• Flexible to cross-train in different shop areas.

Responsabilités

• Set up, tend and operate fabricating machines to cut, shape, and bend metal pieces.
• Read job specifications to determine material requirements and machine settings.
• Measure parts to ensure accuracy and report deviations.
• Remove burrs, clean parts, and perform minor machine maintenance.
• Assist with staging, packing, and transport of finished work pieces.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and Great Plains policies.
